Hi there,
accroding to the old proverb the first step is always the hardest ... but afterall I can say it was not the case for our trip.
Of course we had some small/ tiny problems like: we almost overslept with Simon for our flight or almost missed the bus to Montreal ... but as I said that was the only problems :)
Soooo ... after big goodbye night in Felicitas and Leigh Anne Brithday breakfast ( Happy Birthday my Dear) we took probably the shortest flight in our life from Victoria to Vancouver - 14 min in the air ! <sic> then one hour wait and direct flight to Toronto.
We end up in the really nice hostel which I can surely recommend to everyone. Guys if you dont have a place to stay in Toronto Clarance Hostel (7 Clarence Square) is defintely worth it. Really good standard for afordable price and just 200m from CN Tower ! Maybe the manager is a bit too talkative (disquetter) but we could stand it for 3 days :) Quick check in and we moved to the really nice Mexican restaurant to meet our good friends from UVIC - Cassy <3 , NIco <3 and Rudy <3. In nutshell nice evening with great people in a really cozy place :)
We decided to dedicate entire Thrusday for Niagara Falls. Honestly saying its really impressive. Especially when you stand next to it (1-2m). If we add to that good friends and nice wather its a must to see place What's funny thanks to choosing Megabus to get from Toronto to Niagara we all got 15$ bonus in a local Casino
Some of us had luck (Isaure Simon, Rudy) and won some serious money <LOL> Some like me got free Subway and some of us let me say still have to wait for their 5 minutes of glory
Friday was a Toronto day. Unfortunately the weather wasn't that good. Due to the rain we were forced to drop couple of places we wanted to see... We still managed to visit ROM ( or future Toronto visitors dont go there - waste of time and money), Downtown (typical for each North American City) and CN Tower :) It's a good moment to mention about Canadian hospitality and friendliness. Imagine that the entire trip to get on the top of Tower costs 40 CAD. Most of us decided to skip this trip. The cashier in the reception seeing how sad I was (eyes of the 8y kid who diddnt get a candy) decided to give me 2 tickets for free.. . ok almost free I had to give her huuuuuuuuuuuuge bear hug :)
People could be really nice to each others (even if they dont know each other) and the thing with tickets is the best prove.
Saturday will be probably remembered as the saddest day in the trip... After taking a ferry to Centre Island we decided to enjoy the weather and play frisbee. Unfortunately after my throw (as some of u might know frisbee its not my thing) the frisbee end up in the Ontario Lake. Rudy tried to briebe some of ducks and swans in the park but after taking our last croissant they decided to ceased to cooperate. Dear frisbee RIP. ( Joey Im so sorry). The only consolation is that as Rudy said frisbee will go now go to the frisbee heaven in which will fly without end together with other frisbees.
After this traumatic event all bereaved we moved from hostel and went to 8h trip to Montreal ...
