Ive always used a google doc, or a similar platform to upload my work, and share it with other group members. However, weve used the WhatsApp app to communicate with each other on daily basis. While doing this project, myself and other 2 group members used the design thinking process templates that weve received from our lecturer. Weve spent a lot of time practising the steps of the Design thinking process in the classroom, and because of that, it was much easier for us. Weve focused on 4 main phases of the design process : empathize, synthetize, ideate, and prototype. Weve advised the XXX company to decide themselves whether they wish to tests these prototypes. Weve bought a scrapbook in which we have presented the design thinking process in practise. Each of us focused on a different section. Weve also created a PowerPoint presentation, that was presented to the user group and our lecturer 1,5 wks. ago. Each of us created her own slides, and the slides such as introduction and conclusion were prepared together during our meetings. For our challenge report, as Ive already mentioned, each of us focused on a different part. Weve proposed 3 new market segments, so 3 of us took one market segment each. Ive again focused on the graduates, because Im a student myself, and because the XXX company is not building a relationship with us, why would I go back to them in few years time ? In todays business word, it is crucial for companies to build relationships with their current and potential clients at the very early stage. This is whats creates a competitive advantage. Me and member1 also have written the introduction and conclusion to our report, weve divided that among 2 of us. Overall, Ive really enjoyed this project. I never knew the terminology of the Design Thinking process, but I have naturally been doing some of the phases on my own without realising it. I love finding solutions to problems, and I really enjoy coming up with new ideas, but I need to practise this process more often in order to become more proficient and confident. I was very surprised that the XXX company never heard before about the Design Thinking process as well. During this project, Ive found out that the Design Thinking process can be applied and useful to any organisation in the world. This innovative model ,I believe can be applied to any creative process that produces a product. This module has been a true inspiration. Im really happy that Ive acquired these skills, since they will be very useful in my future work place. Thank you ! Emilia Bibliography Liedtka J. et al.
