Ah! Good news! I'm the fan of couchsurfing.org, I'm absolutely IN and I frequent this site almost as much as facebook (sic!) ;D
So the last time I was looking on the list of the "nearby travellers" (these who are hosted near my place in Lyon) and I saw that there was a guy living in India who came to Lyon... I wrote a msg: I proposed a meeting saying that I can offer him some help in discovering Lyon and I asked for some information about India as an exchange. And we met, and it's an awsome guy from Australia who lived in (if i remember well) Delhi for 2 years and he stays in Lyon 
till December and he's working for some kind of organisation which is sending him here and there. It was so nice to: speak english / talk about the country I'd like to visit / talk about the city i love / meet a new person / have a new acquaintance from Australia etc.

And the other thing is that since this Thirsday till this morning I hosted my friend and her 2 friends who came from Poland (with a host in Germany) by stop and we had much fun together. Today they're continuing hitchhiking to Paris. One of them was 5 months on Erasmus with me in 2008. I had the impression that we've seen each other a few days ago in spite of the fact that we hadn't a close contact during the lat year. It's wonderful to recognize the people as they were.
